Your role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with SQL DB’s, ETL processes, and cloud technologies, with a focus on building scalable data solutions. You will translate technical and business requirements into automated, operable, scalable and robust solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing and optimizing SQL Database used for Analytics purposes
• Modeling SQL DB based on business requirements.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures (dynamic stored procedures), views, and triggers to support application and ETL development.
• Ensure database structures align with industry best practices and company requirements.
• Source data (structured→ unstructured) from various touchpoints (API, DB etc.), format and organize them into an analyzable format. 
• Strong API related experience is preferred to source data from various endpoints
• Background in using Postman application for building and managing APIs, including creating endpoints, defining request/response formats, and collaborating with team members.
• Build and maintain Data pipelines for ETL processes- Matillion experience is preferred, however not a requirement.
• Integrate new datasets into the SQL database and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Work experience in an AWS environment is a plus with AWS services like S3, Redshift, Lambda.
• Knowledge of Python language used in Data engineering scenarios.

Who you are 

• A highly skilled Data Engineer with experience in preferably on the AWS platform
• You have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in working as a specialist Data engineer on SQL DB and warehouses.
• Practical experience in working with API based endpoints to source, transform and present data
• Collaborate with product teams to gather data requirements and provide recommendations for database architecture improvements.
• ​You have working knowledge of key concepts in data analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting/dashboarding, data governance, dealing with structured and unstructured data, and corresponding infrastructure needs.
• Certification in any one of the following or equivalent
  • AWS certified Data Analytics- specialty
  • Azure Data Engineer
